We are beyond thrilled to share that Abreu Events (covering our Conferences, M&I, and Leisure segments) has been crowned Best DMC at the Portugal Trade Awards by Publituris at BTL 2025!
How are you adjusting to current home base reality?
At the beginning it took me some discipline, I had to create my own little office environment, create my new routine and getting dressed I was going to the office was crucial to start my day… then it’s working as usual, been in touch with my colleagues on a regular basis, having a few conference calls throughout the day.
Funny enough, my challenge has been with my two small dogs, I live in an apartment… keeping both my dogs away and quiet, is interesting to say the least. I did allow them to be with me a couple of times, this scenario happened, halfway through a Zoom call, I had one of them crawling up my leg wanting some attention, whilst I’m trying to keep a normal face for my colleagues and discretely trying to make my dog stop. Now, I think is safe to say, they’re starting to understand that if I’m at my desk and not giving them attention that they’ve to put their best behaviour on…!
One of the main attractions of the Spanish capital is its local gastronomy, based on traditional recipes and flavours. In recent years, restaurants are arising with new flavors and contemporary touch, spicing it up the restaurant options in Madrid. To enhance your dining experience, some of these restaurants are opened to cooking activities, as well.
The Spanish gastronomy is diverse as the size of the country; “pintxos” are typical from the Basque Country and are smaller than a normal “tapas”, perfect to be served in a cocktail.
There’s more to Barcelona than just the Catalan Cuisine, the city is a cauldron of culinary uniqueness and upcoming new chefs. The uniqueness is felt in their restaurants with avant-garde atmosphere and at times mesmerizing views.
At the gothic quarter of El Born there’s a delicious pearl with a rustic ambient that’s a reference of the Basque Cuisine in Barcelona, their famous grilled “txuletones” dish (tender rib steak).
