Vitoria-Gasteiz is perhaps the less known of the Basque Country cities, although it has its own airport, most people enter through Bilbao International Airport, which is less than 1 hour from Vitoria-Gasteiz. Therefore, it’s an excellent option for a combined trip between Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz.

This sunny coast will surrender your palate with its delightful gastronomy, highlighting local ingredients like sardines to swordfish, almonds, oranges, figs among others. Our first suggested stop will be Lagos, the home of Henry the Navigator. Nowadays, its ancient maze of cobbled streets bustles with restaurants and bars. One of the most typical restaurants is Camilo, opened its doors in 1980, since then they’ve been serving regional dishes of fresh fish and local products. The concept was mainly due to the strong relationship of the owners with the land and sea. It was fully refurnished in 2011 to a modern architecture and design, still conserving its original menu, but now offering incredible views over Lagos. A more casual option in Lagos is Bahia Beach Bar located on the sand of Meia beach, serving a gourmet dining such as poultry pie with foie gras or lobster and cod terrine. Normally during the weekends there’s live music, which you can appreciate over a glass of Algarve or Alentejo Wine or its famous homemade sangria.
When we talk about Andalusia, we’re talking about a region where gastronomy plays a crucial role, both for its quality and for its abundance. However, this region of Southern Spain, also has large areas of protected nature and historical heritage, and it’s here where Cádiz has much to offer. The city of Cádiz doesn’t have an airport, however neighbouring cities do, such as Jerez (30 minutes away) and Seville (about 1 hour away).
