Portugal occupies the second position in the Top 5 best destinations worldwide for wine tourism (tourism around the cultivation, production and tasting of wines).
 
The ranking, prepared by the baggage consignment app Bounce, lists:
1) Italy
2) Portugal
3) Spain
4) France
5) New Zealand

In order to award the scores, aspects such as the consumption of wine, wine production, area of vineyards, offer of wine tourism tours or cost of the bottle of wine were taken into consideration.

Portugal stands out for being the one that offers the greatest number of wine experiences per 100,000 inhabitants (5,531). See below a few of the experiences we can offer:

1) Quinta Sant’Ana – Just 40 minutes from Lisbon at a family winery, you’ll experience a full Portuguese Experience.  Quinta de Sant’Ana is an historic family estate dedicated to the production of top-quality wines. ​The day will be fulfilled with surprises giving the group a true feeling of the Portuguese culture. We’ve activities planned throughout the day with the aim of building team spirit, improving communication and developing leadership skills among others. In between activities we’ll be pampering the group with a wine and olive tasting at an old wine-cellar and a tour in the vineyards.

2) Quinta do Quetzal - Quinta do Quetzal is in the heart of the Alentejo, on the slopes of the charming town of Vidigueira, close to the oldest known Roman winery in Portugal and Spain. The region’s microclimate and its hills make it the perfect location for a unique terroir.​ Apart from having a phenomenal wine, this winery will enchant you with a unique art center featuring contemporary art throughout 450m2 space and a delicious restaurants overlooking the vineyards, its interior décor has unique Portuguese tiles walls with a distinct forest design.

3)José de Sousa – This unique winery in the town of Monsaraz, is keeping alive a tradition initiated by the Romans over 2000 years ago, José de Sousa winery is equipped with 114 clay amphorae, a fermentation method as rare as it is old. The old cellars are below ground level and contain urns and two open presses for treading the grapes.  You’ll understand during a visit to the estate that the ancient technique is only used for the production of their most special wines…
