Sustainability Process in Abreu Events Portugal

As we mentioned in the beginning of 2022 in a Linkedin post, Abreu Events will be encouraging our clients to use simple sustainable solutions during their events.
 
However, we went even further and created a presentation with three steps concepts on how we can put sustainable ideas into practice.

- Baby Steps: small actions that we can do throughout an event such as, go plastic-free, reduce food waste after events by using associations that collect left-overs from events and give it to those in need, use more accessible transportation options like tuk-tuk, e-bikes when possible.
- Sustainable activities: try to encourage clients to use green activities for their events such as beach clean-up, ploging or tree planting, CSR activities with local humanitarian institutions among others.
- Go Green destinations: Encourage green programs close to city center. Cascais is a resort area about 30 minutes from Lisbon that’s accessible by train with several hotels and restaurants in walking distance. Cascais green wonders are incredible nautical activities, open-air venues and mere 15 minutes from world heritage site that can be accessible by electrical tuk-tuks.
