Correio-Mor Palace, Lisbon

Introducing you to a Palace located 15 minutes from Lisbon city center and was the house of the family that, for 200 years, hold the mail distribution in the Portuguese empire. In 1967, it was classified as a Heritage of Public Interest.

I visited the Correio-Mor Palace on a foggy Friday. Upon arrival, the gates were slightly open as if someone was expecting me. Step by step, I entered the spacious courtyard of the Baroque Palace.  I was transported back in time, imagining all the delicacies and sumptuous banquets that were once prepared in this kitchen lined with beautiful tiles.  An elegant limestone staircase took me to the noble floor. It is easy to get lost in these many elegant rooms, with such luxuriant ceilings and tiles walls.

In the outer space of the Palace there is a protected Mediterranean forest, waterfalls, and French style boxwood gardens, where once the family held many lust parties. Everything you can imagine was real here.
