For the time being United Airlines, Delta Airlines and SATA Azores have announced direct flights from North America cities to Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal (Madeira Island), Ponta Delgada (Azores Island) and Terceira (Azores Island). United Airlines
Beginning May 2024 United will operate its first and only airline to directly connect the United States and Faro, Portugal, with its new service from New York/Newark operating 4 times a week.
United currently serves more destinations in Portugal than all U.S. carriers with its existing year-round service between New York/Newark-Lisbon, as well as seasonal service between Washington/Dulles-Lisbon, New York/Newark-Porto and New York/Newark-Ponta Delgada, Azores.

Delta Air line
Delta Air Lines plans to operate up to 14 flights a week between Portugal and the United States in 2024. Maintaining daily flights from New York (JFK) and Boston to Lisbon, however the Boston flights during the months of January and February will only operate 5-times a week.

SATA Azores Airlines
Azores Airlines is launching new routes to Boston, New York (JFK), and Toronto from Porto in the Summer of 2024. Each of the new routes will be serviced with weekly frequency beginning June 1 for Toronto, June 3 for New York, and June 4 for Boston. Also, adding to their summer charters, Ponta Delgada to Montreal, June 1. Maintaining flights from Funchal (Madeira Island) to New York (JFK) once a week, Terceira Island (Azores) to Boston once a week, Ponta Delgada to Toronto three times a week, Ponta Delgada to Boston three times a week and Ponta Delgada to New York (JFK) three times a week.
