Spanish Capital is thriving
Madrid's Activities
New times equal to new changes, and Madrid has been a city always known for its ability to reinvent and adapt to any circumstances. Currently, the tourism sector are adopting in an exemplary way the measures recommended by the WHO and Regional Health Entities.
Abreu Events wants to bring you gasps of fresh air with activities that we can organize in Madrid always keeping in mind your group safety and well-being, ultimately having fun.
Explore Madrid’s interesting routes through its mountains that are perfect for leisure and incentive groups. About an hour from Madrid, you’ll find Sierra Guadarrama (National Park since 2013) a white canvas for teambuilding activities that’s tailor-made for your group and are adapted to their level of endurance. Our favourite activity occurs in Bosque de la Herreria (Smithy Forest), combines hiking and trekking routes around the impressive royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout the route will pass by incredible natural settings, like passing through Cave of the Bear to reach the Chair of Philip II or abandoned quarries that Mother Nature took under her wings creating a new ecosystem. For these outdoors activities, the routes can be shortened and we can add a professional guide for the group to further explain the history.
On the other hand, we can organize urban or cultural tours and teambuildings in Madrid, where you can participate both in-person and online. For example, an iPad challenge through the streets of Madrid, where teams are made up of people who’ve a tablet and are walking the streets in search of clues or answering questions about the surroundings by looking for elements in façades and so on. And people who are at home but connected to the teams through Zoom and are helping the “street teams” solve challenges. Apart from cultural questions, we’re able to customize the game by adding company logo on the game display or even including questions about the company itself.
Another interesting activity is a virtual Spanish wine tasting, ideally with wines from Madrid wine region but can change region too. Similar concept as before, where part of the group is at the winery and the other at home. The home group will have previously received the wine bottles by post (subject to the legislation of each country), thus being able to participate in the tasting online.
Finally, the vast majority of hotels and venues that have opened in Madrid are already prepared to organize hybrid meetings and have reduced the capacities of their rooms obeying the distancing regulations. Thus, hotels are able to deliver hybrid meetings, in-person meetings or a mix of both depending on the clients request and needs.
There are spaces that go further by using the latest available technologies, delivering incredible events where the real and the virtual can’t de distinguished. The Truss Space in the Wizink Center (one of the largest multipurpose pavilion in Spain) has just inaugurated its Backstage VR room. Officially having the largest virtual set in Spain and being able to apply augmented virtual reality.
