Barcelona's landmark monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Casa Batlló has been recognized as “Best Landmark” at the Remarkable Venue Awards 2021 organized by the ticket platform Tiqets. This award distinguishes the cathedrals, castles, palaces and historical or iconic monuments best values by users.
The platform selected this distinct enclave in Barcelona, after basing itself on more than 7,000 reviews from clients spread across the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and the United States. Curiosities about Casa Battló:
- The student surpassed the master: this sober construction was first designed in 1877 by Emilio Sala Cortés, Gaudí's teacher. Although he considered demolishing the building, it was Gaudí who decided to keep it and give it 'his touch'.
