ABC9 Abreu Events to Organize the ABC9 International Conference in Lisbon

The 9th edition of the Advanced Breast Cancer International Consensus Conference (ABC9) will return to Lisbon, Portugal, from 4 to 6 November 2027, bringing together the international community dedicated to advanced and metastatic breast cancer. Organized by the ABC Global Alliance, the conference will once again provide a platform for healthcare professionals, researchers, people living with the disease, patient advocates and other stakeholders to share knowledge, discuss the latest scientific advances and contribute to improving care worldwide.

ABC9 continues a long-standing international effort to foster scientific collaboration and develop recommendations for the treatment and management of advanced breast cancer. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, the conference promotes a multidisciplinary, person-centred approach that recognizes patients’ needs and addresses the challenges faced by different healthcare systems.

ABC9: Science, Collaboration and New Perspectives for the Future

ABC9 is one of the leading international conferences dedicated exclusively to advanced and metastatic breast cancer. A Key Milestone: The Global Decade Report 2.0

One of the highlights of ABC9 will be the launch of the Global Decade Report 2.0 (2015-2025), a report examining developments in advanced and metastatic breast cancer over the past decade, including progress, challenges, successes and areas where significant unmet needs remain.

Ten years after the publication of the first Global Decade Report (2005-2015), this new report will provide the foundation for the ABC Global Charter 2025-2035, establishing ten new goals for the coming decade to improve the lives of people living with advanced breast cancer worldwide.

The conference will once again take place in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance in Lisbon with the option to participate virtually. All topics will be addressed through a multidisciplinary and person-centred perspective, culminating in the traditional consensus session dedicated to the international guidelines.
