Just 30 minutes from Lisbon, we find our first fishermen village, Cascais. This charming town has deep roots in the fishing community, with narrow streets once filled with men preparing their boats and sorting through their fresh catches. The sea has always been the heart of Cascais.

However, in the 19th century, the Portuguese Royal family fell in love with this gem too, the royal influence let to the creation of elegant mansions. As the years progressed, more infrastructure was slowly added like luxurious hotels, delightful restaurants, sassy bars, incredible marina but it never it lost its number trait, its charming fishermen roots.
