Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2023 Delicious restaurants for your next event

The Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2023 was announced on November 22, the ceremony took place at Palacio de Congresos El Greco in Toledo, Spain. This edition was fulfilled with surprises, which includes two restaurants that received the highest qualification of three Michelin Stars distinction, three restaurants raised to two stars category and 34 restaurants earned their first Michelin star. A very healthy showing of new one-star restaurants in this new edition, including 29 restaurants in Spain and five in Portugal, making a total of 235 one-Michelin-star restaurants for both Spain and Portugal. In total, the 2023 Guide showcases 1,401 restaurants throughout Spain, Portugal, and the Principality of Andorra. Among those, 13 boast Three Michelin Stars, 41 have Two Michelin Stars, and 235 are awarded One Michelin Star.

New three-star restaurants
Both Michelin stars restaurants are based in Spain, Atrio (Cáceres) earns the ultimate distinction, due to Chef Toño Pérez elegant and delicate dishes that’s been shaking up local gastronomic traditions.  Whereas Cocina Hermanos Torres (Barcelona) the chefs and brothers Sergio and Javier Torres are firing theirs and our imagination with every bite, thus creating a magical space for gastronomic experience.

New two-star restaurants
he three new restaurants are based in Spain, Deessa a luxurious restaurant located in Madrid’s Mandarin Oriental Ritz, going up a category due to its sophistication, creativity, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes of Chef Quique Dacosta, and executed by Chef Guillermo Chávez. In Galicia, small village of Serpe, Pepe Vieira restaurant under Chef Xosé T. Cannas command has created a unique countryside restaurant, with a discernible avant-garde design and with single aim of exalting the flavors of “the newest cuisine in the world!”.
Tenerife, El Rincón de Juan Carlos, the Padrón brothers have for their takes on traditional Canary Islands recipes executed with creative flair using premium products, ultra-sophistication, and the ability to thrill diners with a variety of dishes.

New one-star restaurants 
Gastronomy lovers will find new restaurants throughout Spain and Portugal with numerous chefs who have reached professional maturity and young talents who enchanted the MICHELIN inspectors with their culinary personality and prowess.

2) COME by Paco Méndez (Barcelona)
3) Fusión19 (Muro, Majorca)
4) Gente Rara (Zaragoza)
5) Kaleja (Málaga)
6) La Finca (Loja)
7) Montia (San Lorenzo de El Escorial)
8) RavioXO (Madrid)

Portugal has five new restaurants in this category:
1) Encanto (Lisbon)
2) Euskalduna Studio (Porto)
3) Kabuki Lisboa (Lisbon)
4) Kanazawa (Lisbon)
5) Le Monument (Porto)
