An Idea of Sustainability Program

Lisbon & Cascais

Sustainability is not a trend of the past, but a characteristic that is here to stay. Our society is becoming more conscious of CO2 emissions from transportation, have a low waste in food production, recycling, having more environmentally friendly activities and so on. United Nations implemented 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) programs that in a nutshell aims to have a more sustainable world with greener practices.  
 
Abreu Events is seeking to incentivize more sustainable programs to our clients, below is a sample of a 3 day-program with a low environmental impact.

Day 1
- Arrival in Cascais
- Suggested Hotel: Hotel Baia, a high 3 stars hotel in center of Casais that has taken many steps to become eco-friendly, including water-saving systems, low electricity systems, waste disposal, and gas usage management. They've been recognized for their efforts with the Green Key Certification.
- Depart the hotel to Cascais Marina on foot, about 10 minutes’ walk, for a Regatta activity along the Cascais Bay.
- Dinner at Lota da Esquina, the restaurant’s chef Vitor Sobral serves fresh fish from the local fisherman community in the area, and not to mention its fabulous location in the center of town.

Day 2
- Transfer to Belém by Train
- Divide the group, one part will do the tuk-tuks and the other Spinach (electrical gocars)
- Lunch at Prado, a sustainable restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine close to the St. George Castle.
- Return to Cascais on board of a catamaran.
- Gala Evening at a staggering venue in Cascais close to the sea called Coconuts. It is possible to walk there from the hotel, around 15 minutes.

Day 3
- Depart the hotels on e-bikes towards Guincho. Upon arrival we will divide the group, one will do a beach cleaning and the other a surf clinic, then we will change groups around.
- Lunch at Maré, a new restaurant from famous Portuguese chef José Avillez by the Guincho road, where fresh fish and seafood are the main characters.
- Depart to Lisbon Airport.
