Beginning of a New Year equals to fantastic openings in the city of the seven hills, ranging from unique and majestic 5 stars properties that can host your next event to an emblematic venue in the heart of the historic quarter in Lisbon.

An ancient palace built in 1533 with a library with over 18 thousand books and a museum with works by Rubens, Ticiano and Correggio is now a luxurious 5 stars property with 83 rooms and five meeting rooms. Moreover, it has a Portuguese cuisine with a Mediterranean influence featuring a direct access to the gardens, swimming pool and a spa.

Another pearl in town was closed for two-years for renovations openings its doors in the end of last year. Set in an 18th century building that was once the famous Grand Hotel de L ’Europe, this contemporary hotel doubled its room’s capacity including signature suites on the top floor, as well as, a rooftop bar offering mesmerizing views of Tagus River. To top it up, there are three meeting rooms and one auditorium, delicious restaurant and a wellness center. The last renowned opening will be in mid-2020 strategically located in the heart of town by the Marquês de Pombal, it will be extremely modern yet trendy five stars property featuring close to 400 rooms, eighteen meeting rooms, three restaurants – international, Italian and Asian cuisine, lobby bar and winter garden, rooftop with an infinite swimming pool and a magnificent spa.

In the historic quarter of Alfama, is a modern gem with a distinct décor spread in a flexible space of 900m2 that can be divided into three areas with the capacity for 200 people perfect for an intimate gathering. Going down the hill, reaching the Commerce Square is a delicious restaurant serving the freshest seafood dishes under the command of Nuno Bergonse, a chef with proven expertise in haute cuisine but enjoys a good adventure in the fine Portuguese products. The restaurants can seat 180 people in total, that’s divided in the interior and the terrace – which is the perfect location of a summer lunch, where you can enjoy a meal with unique views of the square and river.
