Plaza Mayor in Madrid, undoubtedly one of the most recognizable spots of the Spanish capital, this year celebrates 400 years but it is still full of vitality, energy and with that nocturnal and rogue air that always characterizes this city.

In fact, it is a square that never sleeps due to the various concerts and activities that the city council organizes throughout the year. One of the events will be the UEFA Champions League 2019 at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, transforming Plaza Mayor into a giant football field to meet Tottenham and Liverpool fans or any other football lover.

 
And despite its 400 years, this “plaza” is still surprising now with the release of the first hotel in its history: the Pestana Plaza Mayor, also the first hotel of the Portuguese Pestana Chain Hotel in the city of Madrid.
